Spotlight PA launched its first regional reporting bureau, based in State College, this summer to expand the scope of its nationally award-winning investigative journalism. The bureau produces vital accountability coverage of Penn State University, local news in State College, and rural issues affecting the north-central Pennsylvania region. Consistent with Spotlight PA's unique public-service mission — and thanks to your support — all of our work is made available to the public at no cost.

When you contribute to Spotlight PA, you become a member of our newsroom for one year. You'll get access to Spotlight PA's live interviews with newsmakers and Q&As with our journalists. You'll also receive exclusive, members-only updates directly from our editor in chief. But most importantly, you'll be joining an engaged community of Pennsylvanians in all corners who are standing up for the truth and demanding accountability. Membership is a critical source of funding for Spotlight PA: we currently have more than 2,500 members and we couldn't do this work without them.

Spotlight PA's editors and reporters operate independently of our donors and maintain editorial control over all of the content they produce. Because we are committed to fully disclosing all of our sources of funding, we cannot accept anonymous donations. We list all donors at spotlightpa.org.
